When come to year end December, most of the people will think of Merry Christmas and new year eve for sure. But there is another important traditional day especially for our chinese which is eventually been forgotten by the young generation. The "Dong Zhi" day.

"Dong Zhi" literally means "arrival of winters". It also a day for the family to get together as like a big reunion day. Just like the past year, I woke up early in the morning and helping mom and grandma to do the "Tang Yuan". I make it yellow, red and white colors "tang yuan" which are actually made of glutinous rice flour. According to grandma, TeoChew people only will make it either in white or red in colors.

I liked to eat it since i was a child and i never missed to eat it each and every year. It also means that once you eat it, you're considered gain one age in your age count. To me, "Dong Zhi" means more to me than X'mas. I'm here wish everyone a happy "Dong Zhi" and happy reunion. =)
